Largo Association has launched consultation meetings with Roma youth within a project "I have a dream". The first meetings implemented in Kyustendil, and the next week will continue in Dupnitsa and Radomir towns.
The project will include new methods for empowering Roma women and girls through direct advocacy. The participants will be trained through a series of trainings for personal skills, which they will have the opportunity to apply in the practice.
The main goal of the project is to contribute for the establishment of civic active women leaders who will serve as a good role model, both in Roma community and outside. The project is implemented in partnership with the Norwegian advocacy organization KUN, which has extensive experience in empowering of vulnerable social groups and protecting the rights of women and minorities.
The project "I have a dream" is implemented with the financial support of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the Active Citizens Fund of Bulgaria within the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area. www.activecitizensfund.bg .
